NJHMFA Expands Free Housing Counseling to Include Pre-Purchase Counseling
The New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) took action at its September 3 Board meeting to launch an expansion of the Agency’s flagship housing counseling initiative. Starting in October, the new services will provide free pre-purchase counseling and homebuyer education for first-time homebuyers.
NJHMFA Takes Action to Deliver $200 Million in Construction Financing
During its July meeting, the NJHMFA Board authorized the restructuring of 26 financing commitments to ensure that the final remaining projects utilizing the Affordable Housing Production Fund (AHPF), Workforce Housing Program (WFH), and Urban Preservation Program (UPP) would meet the federal expenditure deadline. In total, these projects will create and preserve 1,800-plus affordable housing units.
