Registration and Assessments
Solid waste and recycling facilities must be properly registered with the Department and pay the associated initial and annual facility registration update fees pursuant to the requirements of N.J.A.C. 7:26-4.3. Such facilities include landfills, transfer station/MRFs, resource recovery facilities, various recycling centers, and intermodal container facilities. Registrations and fees are also required for medical waste destination facilities and intermediate handlers in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:26-3A.8.
Annual Operational Statements for these facilities must be completed and filed by May 1 of each year. Information reported on the form is reviewed to verify required assessments.
