Office of Research and Accountability - Institutional Research Resources

New Jersey Higher Education's Office of Research and Accountability is responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data provided by our state's colleges and universities. The principal data collection tools are the national Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and New Jersey's Student Unit Record (SURE) system. The information received from institutions is processed to create reports on all facets of their operations: enrollment, faculty, finances, etc. Analysis of this data is used in reports, as well as, made available to the higher education stakeholders and wider communities.

The data and analysis presented by the Office of Finance and Research is dependent on our institutional research colleagues at New Jersey's colleges and universities.
