The Supervising Librarian, Collections is a high-level managerial position responsible for a collections budget of $3.9 million and supervising 24.1 FTE including three (3) librarians who serve as system materials selectors. The Supervising Librarian will lead in planning, developing and implementing collection development services, including selection and acquisition and technical services at the Ocean County Library. This position requires expertise in logistics. The Supervising Librarian will manage the flow of library materials and services in all formats to meet the needs of customers in the areas of youth services, teen services, and adult/ information services in a timely manner. Conduct site visits to Ocean County Library locations for inventory management activities, provide advice on arrangement and placement of collections, and determine shelf space requirements. The Supervising Librarian plans, organizes, evaluates and implements objectives in accordance with the Ocean County Library Mission, Goals, Standards, Diversity Plan, and Strategic Plan. This includes participating in system-wide project teams, committees, initiatives, and attending staff or departmental

• A Master's degree in Library or Information Science in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey College Master's Program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College.
• Three (3) years of librarian experience
• A New Jersey Professional Librarian certificate (or ability to obtain one within 1 year of employment).

Must be a resident of the State of New Jersey within one-year of employment
