The Division of Administrative and Employee Services leverages logistical resources and available partnerships to fulfill all support functions needed by the other Divisions in their mandated and mission critical services. Its role includes administering examinations, and also encompasses the following areas:

  • Employee Advisory Services (EAS): EAS provides professional referral services and counseling to State employees and their dependents who are dealing with personal, family or work-related issues that may be adversely impacting work performance.
  • Facilities and Support Services: Tasks include day to day operations and logistics at CSC.  Their responsibilities include building management, fleet management, access and security, printing liaison services and mailing.
  • Finance:  This office is responsible for all aspects of financial resources and internal control.  Main tasks include: budget analysis and control, accounting, expenses, cash management, and financial reporting.
  • Human Resources: This office provides a wide range of human resource services for staff within Civil Service Commission.  This includes organization planning and design, recruitment, hiring, promotion, classification, compensation, employee development, performance appraisal, payroll, timekeeping, leave administration, workplace injuries, and health benefits.
  • Information Center: The Information Center is the primary point of contact for the general public regarding questions about public employment, job announcements and testing, and general inquiries about the activities of the Commission.

  • Information Technology Services (ITS): ITS is responsible for information technology related operations, including network and architecture, new and existing systems and applications, information technology and training, project management, telephone operations, maintenance, and support.
  • Test Administration: This office is responsible for scheduling examinations and candidates; and the recruitment and training of examinations proctors.
  • Training: The Office of Training develops and offers a variety of training courses for classroom and online delivery focused on general management, supervision, and other professional development areas to assist state and local government employees in their quest to continually grow and develop.
