Course Description
Performance planning ensures that organizational goals are consistently met effectively and efficiently. This one-day course is designed for Human Resource (HR) professionals. Course topics are based on the three phases of performance management: planning, developing, and evaluating. HR participants will amplify: employee performance guidance, documentation, rating, engagement, and motivation skills. In addition, participants will practice providing meaningful feedback and coaching techniques to help promote individual performance and growth.
Learning objectives:
- Recognize the purpose and benefits of the performance management process
- Identify job responsibilities that align with department goals and mission of the organization
- Define clear and measurable performance standards
- Identify the requirements and skills of being a masterful coach in the development process
- Describe the ways human nature, culture, and personal ethos affect in the human response to being evaluated
- Develop an awareness of common supervisory biases and errors in rating employee performance
- Recognize relevant performance data for documentation
- Recognize opportunities for meaningful performance feedback
- Identify performance actions that warrant corrective action
- Demonstrate techniques to develop the potential of high performers and keep them motivated
- Identify the evaluation model and form used in your department
