New Jersey Artificial Intelligence Innovation in Education Grant
The New Jersey Department of Education’s Artificial Intelligence Innovation in Education Grant supports initiatives in 10 school districts to explore and advance the responsible use of AI in classroom instruction. AI Vanguard districts are leading efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into K-12 education by establishing clear policies, embedding AI literacy across curricula, and prioritizing equity through targeted outreach and professional development. These districts are implementing age-appropriate lessons, supporting underrepresented groups, and extending literacy to families and the local communities. Strategic plans focus on identifying sustainable, replicable AI implementation models, with documented outcomes and standards-aligned lesson plans. The NJDOE will share these resources statewide and at upcoming conferences, ensuring all districts benefit from these innovative practices.
