Computer Science Resources

This page serves as a central destination for educators, administrators, and stakeholders committed to advancing computer science education in New Jersey schools. Here, you’ll find CS Hubs that foster collaboration and share best practices, information on new grant opportunities to support equitable access and innovation, and curated external resources to strengthen curriculum and professional learning. Whether you’re shaping district strategy or enhancing classroom instruction, these resources are designed to help you implement standards, expand opportunities, and prepare all students for success in a digital world.

Since 2021, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has supported three regional Computer Science (CS) Hubs through a competitive grant opportunity to expand equitable access to high-quality computer science education. The NJDOE is proud to continue supporting the CS Hubs initiative into its fifth year.

Through August 31, 2027, the CS Hubs will offer New Jersey public school K–12 teachers and administrators free professional development, technical assistance, classroom resources, and networking opportunities to support implementation of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards in Computer Science (NJSLS-CS).

Each CS Hub provides flexible, standards-aligned professional learning opportunities—including in-person, virtual, and blended formats—focused on both computer science content and inclusive instructional practices across all grade bands. Educators can also access the Hub’s lending library, which offers classroom-ready kits such as microcontrollers, robots, drones, and other physical computing devices that can be borrowed for hands-on use in schools. New Jersey public schools are encouraged to connect with their regional CS Hub for guidance and upcoming events.
