Statement on Congratulating the 36th Government of the State of Israel

Trenton, N.J. (June 14, 2021) –

Upon the formation of the 36th Government of the State of Israel, the New Jersey-Israel Commission sends its congratulations to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Alternate Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, and the new members of the Israeli Cabinet. We wish them success and applaud the installation of the most diverse government in Israeli history.

We especially look forward to welcoming members of the new government to New Jersey and will work together to strengthen the special and enduring bond that unites New Jersey and Israel.

Additionally, as a former resident of our great state, Prime Minister Bennett stands as a symbol of the incredible connectivity and history of our relationship. We send him and each cabinet member our best regards and reaffirm our commitment to exploring new and innovative ways to collaborate and bring benefit to all of our communities.


About the New Jersey-Israel Commission
The New Jersey-Israel Commission was established in 1989 to implement the goals of the New Jersey-Israel Sister State Agreement and is under the administration of New Jersey Department of State. The Commission promotes the development of trade, culture and educational exchanges; encourages the development of capital investment and joint business ventures; and fosters a spirit of cooperation between the citizens of the State of Israel and the State of New Jersey.
