Bicycle Lanes

Route NJ 179
(a) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 179 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as bicycle lanes.  No vehicle other than a bicycle shall be permitted the use of said lane except for those vehicles loading or unloading passengers or materials in accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-139.
1. In Hunterdon County:
i. In the Township of East Amwell:
(1) Bicycle lanes along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between the southernmost intersection of Route US 202 overpass and a point 1,025 feet north of the southernmost intersection of Route US 202 overpass (approximate mileposts 5.58 to 5.77).
(B) Between a point 235 feet north of the centerline of Wertsville Road (CR 602) and a point 200 feet north of the centerline of Sandra Road (approximate mileposts 6.52 to 7.34).
(2) Bicycle lanes along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Between a point 385 feet north of the centerline of Sandra Road and a point 265 feet north of the centerline Wertsville Road (CR 602) (approximate mileposts 7.37 to 6.53).
(B) Between the prolongation of the centerline of Melbourn Lane and a point 455 feet south of the centerline of Frontage Road (approximate mileposts 6.14 to 5.80).
(C) Between a point 890 feet south of the southernmost intersection of Route US 202 overpass and a point 565 feet south of the prolongation of the centerline of Gulick Road (approximate mileposts 5.41 to 5.00)
2. i. In the Township of West Amwell:
(1) Bicycle lanes along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Between a point 565 feet south of the prolongation of the centerline of Gulick Road and a point 1,280 feet north of the prolongation of the centerline of Gulick Road (approximate mileposts 5.00 to 5.35).
(B) Between the prolongation of the centerline of Frontage Road and the centerline of Melbourn Lane (approximate mileposts 5.89 to 6.14).
