Restricted Parking and Stopping

Route NJ 183
(a) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 183 described in this section are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30.  In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected to notify the motoring public.

i. In the Borough of Stanhope:
(1) No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) From a point 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Main Street (south intersection) to a point 105 feet north of the northerly curb line of Main Street (south intersection).
(B) From Musconetcong Avenue to US Route 206.
(2) No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) From US Route 206 to the southerly intersection of Main Street.
(b) The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 183 described in this section shall be designated and established as "no parking" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-139, permission is hereby granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:
1. In Sussex County:
i. In the Borough of Stanhope:
(1) Near side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Main Street (southerly intersection) - Beginning 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Main Street and extending 100 feet southerly therefrom.
(B) Stonegate Lane - Beginning at the southerly curb line of Stonegate Lane and extending 180 feet southerly therefrom.
(2) Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Houdaille Road - Beginning at the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Houdaille Road and extending 120 feet northerly therefrom.
(3) Mid-block bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:
(A) Dell Road - Beginning 875 feet south of the southerly curb line of Dell Road and extending 200 feet southerly therefrom.
(4) Near side bus stop along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Houdaille Road (exit ramp) – Beginning at the northerly curb line of the Houdaille Road exit ramp of Route NJ 183 and extending 105 northerly therefrom.
(5) Far side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Main Street (southerly intersection) - Beginning at the southerly curb line of Main Street and extending 100 feet southerly therefrom.
(6) Mid-block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:
(A) Dell Road - Beginning 816 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Dell Road and extending 164 feet southerly therefrom.
