Speed Limits for State Roads

(a)	The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 139 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1.	In Hudson County:
	NOTE: State Highway Route NJ 139 Lower is coincident with State Highway Route I-78 from mileposts 1.45 to 2.77.
	i. In the City of Jersey City:
(1)	For both directions of traffic:
	(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH from the junction of Route US 1&9 at Tonnelle Avenue to the easterly terminus of the Route at Jersey Avenue (Holland Tunnel Plaza) (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 1.45); thence
	NOTE: Route NJ 139 from Jersey Avenue to the end of route (approximate mileposts 1.45 to 2.77) is coincident with Route I-78 (approximate mileposts 66.51 to 67.83). See Route I-78 for speed limit in this section.

(a)	The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 139 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1.	In Hudson County:
	i. In the City of Jersey City:
(1)	For both directions of traffic:
	(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between John F. Kennedy Boulevard (County Route 501) and Palisades Avenue (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.72).
