Speed Limits For State Roads

Route US 322
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route US 322 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Gloucester County:
NOTE: State Highway Route US 322 is under Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 0.00 to 2.25.
NOTE: State Highway Route US 322 is under Gloucester County jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 8.46 to 15.22 and 17.40 to 17.75.
NOTE: State Highway Route US 322 is coincident with the State Highway Route 45 from approximate mileposts 10.82 to 11.21.
NOTE: State Highway Route US 322 is coincident with the State Highway Route 47 from approximate mileposts 17.84 to 18.25.
i. In the Township of Logan:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Delaware River Port Authority-New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdiction corporate line and the Logan Township-Woolwich Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 2.25 to 4.84); thence
ii. In the Township of Woolwich:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Logan Township-Woolwich Township corporate line and the Woolwich Township-Harrison Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 4.84 to 8.46); thence
iii. In the Township of Harrison:
NOTE: Route US 322 is under Gloucester County jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 8.46 to 15.22.
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between Route NJ 55 and 2,750 feet east of Route NJ 55 (approximate mileposts 15.22 to 15.74); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between 2,750 feet east of Route NJ 55 and the Harrison Township-Glassboro Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 15.74 to 16.08); thence
iv. In the Borough of Glassboro:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Glassboro Borough-Harrison Township corporate line and 500 feet west of Lehigh Road, except for a 30 MPH when passing through the Ambassador Christian Academy School zone, during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 16.08 to 16.57); thence
(B) Zone 2: 35 MPH between 500 feet west of Lehigh Road and 100 east if Girard Road (approximate mileposts 16.57 to 16.94); thence
(C) Zone 3: 30 MPH between 100 feet east of Girard Road and 370 feet west of Whitney Avenue (approximate mileposts 16.94 to 17.40); thence
NOTE: Route US 322 is under Gloucester County jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 17.40 to 17.75; thence
(D) Zone 4: 30 MPH between 158 feet west of Main Street (County Route 553) and the westernmost intersection of Route NJ 47 (approximate mileposts 17.75 to 17.84); thence
NOTE: Route US 322 is coincident with Route NJ 47 (approximate mileposts 62.46 to 62.84) from approximate mileposts 17.84 to 18.25.  See Route NJ 47 for speed limits in this section; thence
(E) Zone 5: 35 MPH between the easternmost intersection of Route NJ 47 and 600 feet east of Reading Street (approximate mileposts 18.25 to 18.49); thence
(F) Zone 6: 45 MPH between 600 feet east of Reading Street and the Monroe Township-Glassboro Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 18.49 to 19.34); thence
v. In the Township of Monroe:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH hour between the Glassboro Borough-Monroe Township corporate line and Debra Drive, except for a 35 MPH when passing through the Gloucester County Day Training School zone during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 19.34 to 23.91); thence
(B) Zone 2: 35 MPH between Debra Drive and Clayton Avenue (approximate mileposts 23.91 to 24.27); thence
(C) Zone 3: 30 MPH hour between Clayton Avenue and Route NJ 42 (approximate mileposts 24.27 to 24.53); thence
(D) Zone 4: 50 MPH between Route NJ 42 and 800 feet east of Main Street (approximate mileposts 24.53 to 25.89); thence
(E) Zone 5: 55 MPH between 800 feet east of Main Street and the Folsom Borough-Monroe Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 25.89 to 32.98); thence
2. In Atlantic County:
i. In the Township of Folsom:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the Monroe Township-Folsom Borough corporate line and the Folsom Borough-Hamilton Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 32.98 to 37.25); thence
ii. In the Township of Hamilton:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the Folsom Borough-Hamilton Township corporate line and 1,660 feet west of Leipzig Avenue (approximate mileposts 37.25 to 49.50); thence
(B) Zone 2: 50 MPH between 1,660 feet west of Leipzig Avenue and the beginning of coincidence with Route US 40 (approximate mileposts 49.50 to 50.26).
NOTE: Route US 322 is coincident with Route US 40 (approximate mileposts 51.77 to 64.32) from approximate mileposts 50.26 to 62.81 (end of route).  See Route US 40/322 for speed limits in this section.
