Speed Limits For State Roads

Route I - 95
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route I-95 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Mercer County:
Note: State Highway Route I-95 is under Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) from approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.20.
i. In the Township of Ewing:
(1) For the northbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission  – New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdictional line and  3,580 feet south of Bear Tavern Road   (approximate mileposts 0.20 to 0.88); thence
(2) For the southbound direction of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 55 MPH between the New Jersey Department of Transportation – Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission jurisdictional line and 3,580 feet south of Bear Tavern Road (County Route 579) (approximate mileposts 0.20 to 0.88); thence
(3) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between 3,580 feet south of Bear Tavern Road (County Route 579) and the Ewing Township – Hopewell Township southernmost corporate line (Ewing Creek) (approximate mileposts 0.88 to 2.37); thence
(B) Zone 2: 65 MPH between the Ewing Township – Hopewell Township central corporate line and the Ewing Township – Hopewell Township northernmost corporate line (approximate mileposts 3.36 to 4.00); thence
ii. In the Township of Hopewell:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH within the corporate limits (approximate mileposts 2.37 to 3.36 and mileposts 4.00 to 5.59); thence
iii. In the Township of Lawrence:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH within the corporate limits (approximate mileposts 5.59 to 8.77).
