[EXTERNAL]: Hazardous Waste Rule Updates Meeting - October 25

A message from NJDEP's Division of Waste and UST Compliance & Enforcement:

SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. (Invitation to follow upon request)

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) is hosting a stakeholder meeting on October 25, 2023 for interested parties and regulated entities to learn about plans to propose amendments to the Hazardous Waste rule (N.J.A.C. 7:26G) and related provisions in the Recycling Rules (N.J.A.C. 7:26A). The meeting will be hosted using NJDEP's online meeting platform, Microsoft Teams, and the topics will include:

  • Revisions to ensure required consistency with the Federal program.
  • Inclusion of climate resiliency considerations for Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities.
  • Updates to Hazardous Waste fees & penalties.
  • Inclusion of solar panels as a State listed universal waste and Class D Recyclable Material.
