[EXTERNAL]: Perimeter Air Monitoring Technical Guidance now available!

Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment is pleased to announce the availability of the Perimeter Air Monitoring (PAM) Technical Guidance (December 2023). Training on the PAM Technical Guidance will be held January 24, 2024. Additional information regarding training to follow.

This document provides Licensed Site Remediation Professionals and other interested parties with guidance on determining whether perimeter air monitoring implementation is applicable, how to plan and execute perimeter air monitoring that generates quality data, and how to evaluate data generated from this monitoring to determine whether actions are needed to protect off-site receptors from the migration of contaminants released by remediation activities. The PAM Technical Guidance is also accompanied by a PAM Calculator and User's Guide to assist investigators in the development of health-based threshold values and response levels for perimeter air monitoring.

This technical guidance document, the PAM Calculator with User's Guide, and its supporting documents are available in the Guidance Library at: www.nj.gov/dep/srp/guidance/.
