Audit Information The Audit Program is a document updated annually by the NJ Department of Education to provide instructions for both district personnel and public school auditors regarding preparing for and performing the audit of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The Audit Program is a resource for general compliance such as Application for State School Aid (ASSA) testing, contracts, year end closing of books, as well as specific compliance for the accounting funds (general, special revenue, capital projects, debt service, enterprise, student activity, fixed/capital assets and debt).
