The purpose of Artemis (Records Retention and Disposition Management System) is to provide efficiencies across State, County, Municipal and Educational agencies in addressing many of the Records Management functions, processes, and services offered by NJDORES, Records Management Services in accordance with the Destruction of Public Records Act, Chapter 410, PL 1953.
Artemis is designed to offer the functions listed below for State, County, Municipal and Educational agencies:
County and local agencies may request authorization to dispose of electronic mail records by using schedules C820000-013, 0800-0000 - 0800-0001 (counties) and M100000-013, 0800-0000 - 0800-0001 (local agencies). State agencies seeking to dispose of electronic mail must follow Circular Letter 14-2 DORES/OIT.
Requests that reference the above-cited schedules, must be made via the Artemis system and will require the appropriate attestation prior to submission.
