- Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Business Engagement & Sector Strategies, Office of Business and Training Services, this position is responsible for the oversight and coordination of a Statewide business engagement team.
- The key roles of the Business Engagement / Outreach team are as follows:
- Market the statewide One-Stop Career Center (American Job Center) system to New Jersey Employers. Work with statewide employers to identify hiring needs and offer talent acquisition service.
- Provide Rapid Response services to impacted employees of New Jersey businesses that are required to file a WARN notice. Connect the impacted employees to the closest One-Stop Career Center for re-employment services.
- Oversee the Central Office Salesforce team that coordinates all incoming leads from the New Jersey business community related to workforce development.
- Provide ongoing coordination and support for related units such as; Apprenticeship Outreach, WOTC, Federal Bonding, On-the-Job Training, and Trade Act. Such programs are extremely needed to support the customers of New Jersey. Additionally, coordination of unit staff activities, timelines, and assignment due dates has become especially critical.
Required qualifications:
- Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester-hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.
Ten (10) years of professional experience in the implementation, coordination, or marketing of an employment and training or business services program in a public or private agency, three (3) years of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity. OR Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and six (6) years of the above-mentioned professional experience, three (3) years of which shall have been in a s upervisory capacity. Responsibilities include:
• Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of the Office of Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning, plans, organizes and directs the work of the Grant Administration and Management unit.
