GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Township of West Milford is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer in accordance with the New Jersey Civil Service (CSC) Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) Program. Candidates must submit to and pass both a medical and psychological evaluation. Applicants will be subject to a rigorous and extensive background investigation including the review of all employment records. Patrol Officers work on the Pitman Schedule.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
In accordance with the IGT program, applicants must currently be employed as a sworn officer in a New Jersey Civil Service law enforcement agency and their agency must be willing to approve the transfer. Applicants must have graduated from a New Jersey PTC law enforcement academy and be in possession of a New Jersey Police Training Commission certificate.
