[SRRA] Updated Vapor Intrusion Screening Levels & Revised Technical Guidance Now Available on SRP's Web Page

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (NJDEP) Site Remediation Program has modified the Vapor Intrusion Web page ([link]) to include updated and new information. This includes updated vapor intrusion screening level (VISL) tables which are based on the latest USEPA Regional Screening Levels and now include Rapid Action Levels (RALs) for all volatile organic compounds, not just those most commonly found at contaminated sites.

A Vapor Intrusion Screening Level Implementation Strategy is provided to explain how and when the new vapor intrusion screening levels will be applied, as well as a flow chart for ease of understanding.

Also just released on the Vapor Intrusion web page is the revised Vapor Intrusion Technical Guidance document, which incorporates all of the revisions to the Technical Rules and addresses technical deficiencies noted in the January 2012 edition. Finally, the web page also features Johnson and Ettinger (J&E) Model spreadsheets that were updated to reflect toxicity changes in the new VISL.
