[SRRA]: Department launches May 2014 Remedial Investigation Deadline Extension web page The Site Remediation Reform Act requires certain persons responsible for conducting remediation to complete the remedial investigation by May 7, 2014. Governor Christie signed P.L.2013, c.283 on January 17, 2014, which allows for a two year extension to complete the remedial investigation if certain criteria are met. In order to receive the extension, the licensed site remediation professional (LSRP) retained by the person responsible must submit an application to the Department through the DEP Online electronic portal no later than March 7, 2014. In accordance with the law, the application is deemed approved upon receipt by the Department.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has launched a website, available at Prior to submitting an extension application, it is imperative that all of the criteria set forth in the law are met. |
