Subject | [SRRA]: Statutory deadline to complete remedial investigation by May 7, 2016 |
[SRRA]: Statutory deadline to complete remedial investigation by May 7, 2016 The deadline to complete the remedial investigation for cases that were granted a statutory two-year extension to the original May 7, 2014 deadline to complete the remedial investigation is less than six months away. A complete listing of cases that received and maintained the extension is available from Dataminer at http://datamine2.state.nj.us/DEP_OPRA/OpraMain/categories?category=Case+Tracking The retained LSRP should inform their client whether they are on track to meet the May 7, 2016 deadline, and of the consequences for failure to do so. Those consequences include the requirement to conduct remediation under the Department's Direct Oversight pursuant to the Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contamination Sites (ARRCS), N.J.A.C. 7:26C-14.2, as well as significant penalty liabilities. Please be aware that submittal of an incomplete remedial investigation report will not satisfy meeting the statutory deadline. Information regarding this statutory deadline, including Direct Oversight, may be found at https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/timeframe/ and www.nj.gov/dep/srp/timeframe/extension_reminder.html. |
