[SRRA]: Site Remediation Waste Management Program's (SRWMP) Training on Regulatory and Guidance Updates - December

Training on Regulatory and Guidance Updates will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (check-in at 12:30 PM) in the DEP Public Hearing Room, 401 E. State Street, Trenton.

Program Description:
The program will cover the adoption of the Heating Oil Tank System Remediation Rule (HOTSR), and the corresponding amendments to the Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (ARRCS) Rule, the Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (Tech Regs), New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NJPDES) Rule, Discharges of Petroleum and Other Hazardous Substances Rule, and the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Rule and will include a discussion on how the changes to ARRCS affect SRWMP's soil and ground water permit processes.

The program will address new and updated guidance documents including the Vapor Intrusion Technical Guidance, the Historically Applied Pesticide Guidance, the Capping of Volatile Contaminants for the Impact to Ground Water Pathway Guidance and the Ecological Evaluation Technical Guidance documents.

Continuing Education Credits (CECs):
The Department has applied to the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board (SRPLB) for 1.5 regulatory continuing education credits (CECs) and 1.5 technical CECs for this course. The application for CECs is currently before the Licensing Board. Please note certificates MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE until the course is approved by the SRPLB. Credits, once approved, may be applicable to NJ PE licenses, PE licenses from other states, and PG licenses from other states; please verify the requirements that apply to your licenses.

The list of Board-approved continuing education programs is available at: www.nj.gov/lsrpboard/board/education/approved_continuing_education_courses_all_dates.pdf. After the course, the Licensed Site Remediation Professional Association (LSRPA) will provide eligible attendees detailed instructions via email regarding how to obtain a CEC certificate.
