[EXTERNAL]: New Jersey Register Notice Regarding Mandatory Use of Online Portal for the Submission of the Public Notification and Outreach Form

On September 8, 2020, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (Department) published a Notice in the New Jersey Register that a NJDEP Online Service is available for submission of the Public Notification and Outreach Form. A copy of the Notice is included below. This message is a reminder that in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:26C-1.6(c), the use of this service will become mandatory 90 days from publication of the Notice, or on December 7, 2020, unless otherwise instructed by the Department. The ability to submit the Public Notification and Outreach Form voluntarily through the NJDEP Online Service has been available since June 30, 2020.

Instructions for filing the forms online and specific instructions for using the Public Notification and Outreach Form Service can be found on the Site Remediation and Waste Management Program forms page at www.nj.gov/dep/srp/srra/forms.

Notice of Mandatory Use of Online Portal for the Submission of the Public Notification and Outreach Form

Take notice that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (Department) hereby gives notice that its online portal for the submission of the Public Notification and Outreach Form is now available, which allows persons to file electronically.

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:26C-1.6(c), within 90 days after the date that the Department informs the public by a notice in the New Jersey Register that an electronic portal is available, the person responsible for conducting the remediation shall submit to the Department through the electronic application such documents specified by the Department that are required by the Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites, N.J.A.C. 7:26C, and the Technical Requirements for Site Remediation, N.J.A.C. 7:26E.

Accordingly, beginning on December 7, 2020, the Public Notification and Outreach Form shall be filed electronically through Department Online, http://www.nj.gov/dep/online/.
