[EXTERNAL]: Administrative guidance available: Migration to Ground Water Exposure Pathway Soil Remediation Standards

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (Department) adopted soil remediation standards for the migration to ground water exposure pathway on May 17, 2021. Subsequently, the Department has received inquiries whether restricted use remedial actions (i.e., soil contamination remains in exceedance of these migration to ground water remediation standards) are allowed for this exposure pathway. A guidance document regarding this issue is available at https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/guidance/#top_admin and https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/guidance/rs/.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is dedicated to protecting New Jersey's environment and public health. The agency prioritizes addressing climate change, protecting New Jersey's water, revitalizing its communities and managing and promoting its natural and historic resources.
