[EXTERNAL]: Updated Soil Remedial Action Permit Guidance Document now available!

The Soil Remedial Action Permit (RAP) Guidance Document has been revised from Version 0.0 (February 2010) to Version 1.0 (May 2022).

Based on discussions with the RAP stakeholder group, the Soil RAP Guidance Document has been updated to clearly indicate when a Soil RAP Application should be submitted and by whom and to assist the user in navigating the various steps in the Soil RAP process.

New sections/appendices for the Soil RAP Guidance document include:

- Intended Use of Guidance Document
- Purpose
- Engineering Controls/Caps
- Preparing a Deed Notice
- Soil RAP Contact Information Change Form
- Deed Notice Termination
- Termination of a Soil RAP
- Notice in Lieu of Deed Notice
- Procedure for Terminating a Deed Notice (Appendix)
- Model Notice in Lieu of Deed Notice Example (Appendix)
- Sample Notification Letter to Meet Requirements of N.J.A.C. 7:26C-7.2(b)2i (Appendix)
- Resolution Concerning Notice in Lieu of Deed Notice Example (Appendix)
- Written Agreement Concerning Notice in Lieu of Deed Notice Example (Appendix)
- Acronyms (Appendix)

Existing sections of the Soil RAP Guidance Document also have been updated and expanded, including the Financial Assurance (FA) Section. In addition, the format of the Soil RAP Guidance Document has been updated to be consistent with the NJDEP's other guidance documents.
