Contaminated Site Remediation   Redevelopment (CSRR) is pleased to announce that a new online UST Registration Service is now available for regulated UST facilities to meet submission requirements pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:14B-2.2, Procedure to apply for, renew, or amend an UST registration. This paperless service offers one stop filing for the three major submission types for UST registration services that are used for registering, renewing, and providing financial assurance mechanisms (usually private insurance) for regulated underground storage tanks:

  1. Initial UST Facility Registration;
  2. Annual Renewal/Modification of UST Facility Registration; and
  3. Financial Assurance mechanism updates.

Some significant revisions that the new online Underground Storage Tank (UST) Registration Service offers are as follows:

  • Includes new options for tank contents, including BioDiesel   Medium Diesel for Emergency Generators;
  • Adds triple walled tank/piping as an option;
  • Adds four types of overfill protection;
  • Creates a new question regarding piping installation date;
  • Creates a new question regarding whether the tanks are dual purpose and a mechanism to record secondary pipe information;
  • Adds requirement to record compartmentalized tanks and their individual tanks; and
  • Ability to pay UST Registration fees at the end of the service with an echeck or a credit card.

In addition, as part of the online portal process at www.njdeponline.com, UST facility owners and UST facility operators may attach their additional certification to a submittal, if required, through the short service titled "UST Additional Certification Service."
