Purpose: The goal of the New Jersey Charter Schools Grant Program Planning FY14 Group 1 Grant is to increase the number of data driven highly effective and efficient Charter Schools. Once open, these charter schools will promote high student academic achievement for all children, including those with special needs, and help them meet the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. Eligible applicants are charter schools that have been granted a planning year for the 2013-2014 grant year. The population to be served by this grant program consists of students in kindergarten through grade 12. This grant award is a single nine month grant period and will start January 15, 2014, and end September 15, 2014

Eligible Agencies: Startup planning for charters that have been granted a planning year for 2013-14 and have not received any prior Charter School Program Planning funds.
