I have suffered from OCD and anxiety since I was five years old. I would get overwhelmed in school easily. The other kids would notice and mock me out because they didn't understand what was going on. The teachers only made it worse by insinuating that I was the problem; simply throwing tantrums to get attention.

Kayla, a counselor at Integrity House, and Stephanie share the story of Stephanie’s progress toward recovery from depression and substance abuse, becoming stronger for her children and securing employment.

I’ve been victimized, I’ve been abused, I went through a lot, and I worked hard in my recovery…There’s hope out there, there’s help for everybody. CSPNJ (Collaborative Support Programs of NJ) has helped a lot of people. My case worker sees me every week and when I’m not feeling good. I’m happy where I’m at now.”

It's a new year. Fresh beginnings and a renewed outlook. I'm certainly looking forward to 2023, as the last half of 2022 tested me to the core.
