On October 3, 2024, the State of New Jersey (“State”) and the United States of America entered into an Agreement (“Agreement”) with the goal of ensuring that the State’s Veterans Memorial Homes at Menlo Park and Paramus provide appropriate care to the residents of those facilities.

The Agreement requires the State to implement various policies and procedures to help ensure that the facilities are providing appropriate care to their residents. To further that objective, the State has retained an independent monitor (“Monitor”) to assess the State’s efforts and milestone achievements.

As required by the Agreement and to increase transparency into the State’s operation of the facilities, the State posts both the Agreement and the Monitor’s report(s) on this webpage.
