Overview
Eligibility
The Veterans Home in Vineland is open to veterans who were honorably discharged from U.S. war or peacetime services. Spouses, Widows or Widowers of eligible veterans and parents of members of the military who were killed in action during a period of war, recognized as a Gold Star Parent are also eligible.
A spouse/widow/widower is not eligible if they are divorced. A spouse/widow/widower must be at least 50 years of age and must have been married to the eligible veteran for a period of not less than 10 years.
Preference
Admission Applications are reviewed and, if applicant is deemed eligible per NJ Administrative Code Chapter 5 and the Admissions Review Committee, their name is placed on the Qualified Admissions List. Applicants are admitted chronologically from the Qualified Admission List. Room and Board is based on income and assets per Chapter 5 regulations.
Insurance
- This facility is not in network with any HMO/Medicare Advantage Program
- This facility does not participate in NJ Medicaid program
- Recommend Medicare A & B and secondary insurance required if eligible
- Recommend Medicare D or other prescription coverage required if eligible
