Casting Call For Upcoming Training Video

PROJECT: Employment Training Educational Videos – Office Setting – Business Casual Attire - PAID

DESCRIPTION: D2 TEAM-Sim (D2) is seeking actors to portray Job Seekers and Hiring Officials in a series of 4 training videos. Each video is comprised of several short (30-60 second) scenes, which will be combined to create a decision-based activity for the hiring of employees. All scenes will be shot in a single indoor office environment.

SELECTION PROCESS: Interested parties should submit their application by April 9th. Selected applicants will receive an email from D2 asking them to choose a date/time between April 8th – April 10th to perform an audition over Zoom. During the audition, the applicants will perform a short series of line reads from the Employment Training script. D2 will review all auditions and contact applicants who have been selected for each role by April 12th. Shooting schedules for each video are provided below.

ROLES AVAILABLE:

  • Job Seeker 1: Male, Age 30-40
  • Job Seeker 1’s Wife: Female, Age 30-40
  • Job Seeker 2: Female, Age 30-40
  • Hiring Manager: Any Gender, Age 30-60
  • HR Official: Any Gender, Age 30-60
  • NOTE: As each video only contains 2 characters, an individual actor may apply to take on multiple roles.

LOCATION: Somerset, NJ

SHOOT DATES:

  • Video 1: May 7 – May 8  
  • Video 2: May 9 – May 10 
  • Video 3: May 13 – May 14 
  • Video 4: May 15 – May 16 

SHOOT DURATIONS: 8 hours per day. Actors are expected to have their own transportation. Filming will be done during normal business hours. Please arrive ready to work by 9:00 am each day.

COMPENSATION: $400 per day

Slate Casting is seeking to cast real people with CPR stories.

PROJECT: Non Union - Industrial - Internal Video

SYNOPSIS: Seeking people with REAL CPR Stories. Looking for people who have either saved someone or had been saved by CPR to give a brief testimonial.

USAGE/RUN: Internal video only in perpetuity. This video will be used to encourage employees of an established company to complete CPR Training.

RATE: If cast, individual will receive $500 + 20% agency fee

Must be 18+ to be considered, open to all genders and ethnicities.

SHOOT DATE: One day the week of March 25th. Either in person in Princeton, NJ or a remote site.

Casting Call for "Choice" - A Narrative Short Film (Digital Filmmaking)

Student film seeking talented actors for a compelling narrative short film, "Choice," directed by an ambitious student filmmaker - Noah Yeboah. This emotionally charged story explores themes of freedom, protection, and the complexities of familial bonds. It's a fantastic opportunity for actors to showcase their talents in a narrative that explores deep into the emotional spectrum.

  • Genre: Indie | Drama | Coming of age | Romance 
  • -  Production Type: Student Film
  • -  Location: Passaic County, New Jersey
  • - Shooting Starts: Late May
  • - Compensation: Unpaid, but actors can use the footage for their demo reels. Great opportunity for exposure and to gain experience in a leading or supporting role. Meals will be provided.

 

Available Roles:

Craig Novak: Male, late 30s to early 40s. A deeply troubled and overprotective father grappling with the loss of his wife and the fear of losing his daughter. Requires strong emotional range to portray complexity of character - from tender moments to intense outbursts of anger.

Ashley Novak: Female, 17-19 years old. A resilient yet emotionally stifled young woman trying to find her identity amidst the overbearing control of her father. Requires an actor who can convey a wide range of emotions, from vulnerability to defiance.

Jake: Male, 17-19 years old. A kind-hearted, understanding schoolmate of Ashley who becomes her confidant and symbol of hope. Needs to exhibit charm, empathy, and the subtle strength of a supportive friend.

Vanessa: Female, 17-19 years old. Ashley's laidback acquaintance/friend. She brings light-hearted moments to the film but also shows depth when the situation demands. Looking for an actor who can balance humor with sincerity.
