Israel Defense Forces Attaché Visits

New Jersey with the Commission


In honor of Israel’s 75 anniversary, the New Jersey-Israel Commission facilitated a visit by Major General Hidai Zilberman, Israel Defense Forces Attaché to the United States, Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst in cooperation with the New Jersey National Guard and the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. The visit focused on our state’s aerospace leadership, military capabilities, and shared challenges. The Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey also held a separate briefing with the Major General and his staff. 



Commission leadership visits OwnBackup


In a visit led by Tim Sullivan, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Commission leadership met with OwnBackup CEO Sam Gutmann and toured their US headquarters in Englewood Cliffs to learn about the impact of one of the largest Israeli technology companies is having in New Jersey.

Newly released data from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) shows record investments and job creation under the Murphy Administration between 2021 and 2022.

Sheba Medical Center Discusses Innovation Project in Jersey City


Executives from the ARC Center of Sheba Medical Center, the largest hospital in Israel and the Middle East, met with the Commission, Choose New Jersey, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and New Jersey healthcare officials including New Jersey Department of Health and Commissioner Judith Persichilli. The meeting discussed the planned ARC Sheba medical innovation center in Jersey City which will demonstrate future technologies.
