NEW JERSEY DIVISION OF ELECTIONS AND COUNTY ELECTION OFFICES SEEK POLL WORKERS FOR 2023 GENERAL ELECTION

TRENTON, NJ, September 6, 2023 – New Jersey residents who’d like to earn extra money while serving their community can now apply to be a poll worker for the upcoming November 7, 2023 General Election and early voting period.

The New Jersey Division of Elections is partnering with New Jersey counties across the state to appeal to residents, who will earn $21.43 per hour on in-person early voting days and $300 on General Election Day.

“Poll workers are essential. Every year, we need regular New Jersey citizens to step up and serve their community and our state by working at a polling location,” said New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way. “Poll workers help our elections run smoothly, ensuring that every eligible voter can cast their vote during early voting or on Election Day.

“Many New Jersey counties are currently recruiting poll workers to staff polling locations for the 2023 General Election,” said Assistant Secretary of State Dr. Lauren Zyriek Enriquez, who serves as Acting Director of the New Jersey Division of Elections. “Across our state, we will need thousands of New Jersey citizens to serve as poll workers. You can earn money while serving your community.”

Citizens are encouraged to submit an application through Pollworker.NJ.Gov.
