1743 – 1755 South 6th Street (PI#: G00061153)SITE SUMMARY Site Name: 1743 – 1755 South 6th Street SITE BACKGROUND INFORMATION/ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
The Preliminary Assessment identified two areas of potential environmental concern and are as follows: AOC 1 - 0.231 acre area of historic fill - Four soil samples were collected and analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons, base neutral compounds, PCBs, volatile organic compounds, pesticides, and metals. Exceedances of soil cleanup criteria were detected for four base neutral compounds including benzo(a)anthracene, benzo(b)fluoranthene, benzo(k) fluoranthene, and benzo(a)pyrene. One ground water sample was collected and was analyzed for base neutral compounds, PCBs, volatile organic compounds, pesticides, and metals. All results were below Ground Water Quality Standards. AOC 2 – Area of historical dumping, mounds, depressions, potential underground storage tanks (USTs) and above ground storage tanks (ASTs). The area included former residential buildings that were demolished. Geophysical survey was performed to identify USTs or ASTs and any other anomolies. None were identified. Based on the investigation performed, no evidence of tanks, or discharge of hazardous substances were identified. No additional action is required for this AOC.
