[EXTERNAL]: New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Field Sampling Procedures Manual: Chapters 5-13 Updates Training

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (NJDEP) Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment (CSRR) will be providing detailed training on the updates to Chapters 5-13 of the Field Sampling Procedures Manual (FSPM). The virtual training will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM via GoToWebinar (see registration information below). The training will also be posted to the FSPM website for future reference (https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/guidance/fspm/), as well as the CSRR Training page (https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/srra/training/).

The information in the FSPM provides environmental professionals, including Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs), the tools to promote consistency when environmental samples are collected. This training session will highlight the changes that have been made to Chapters 5-13.

The presentation is being delivered remotely and will only be available virtually. NO in-person option for this training is offered at this time. The maximum number of individual participants supported by GoToWebinar for this training is 1,000. Please do not wait to register if you are interested in attending. As the capacity for this platform does not exceed 1,000 participants, additional slots cannot be made available.

Continuing Education Credits (CECs):
The NJDEP has applied to the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board (SRPLB) for 3.5 Technical Credits for this course. Once the CECs are approved, certificates will be made available via an email link to those participants who have requested to receive CECs and meet the requirements. Credits may be applicable to New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) licenses, PE licenses from other states, and Professional Geologist licenses from other states; please verify the requirements that apply to your licenses.

The List of Board-Approved Continuing Education Programs is Available at:
www.nj.gov/lsrpboard/board/education/approved_continuing_education_courses_all_dates.pdf. After the course, the Licensed Site Remediation Professional Association (LSRPA) will provide eligible attendees detailed instructions via email regarding how to obtain a CEC certificate.
