Section 4 - Advisory and Business Labor Partnerships

The primary purpose of the CTE Program Advisory Board is to maintain active industry partnerships and strengthen CTE programs of study. The committee serves to advise, assist, and advocate for the program by ensuring it meets the needs of students, businesses, and industry, while also providing expertise related to current and emerging technologies.

In section 4, the district will provide information on the advisory board. In the Required Members chart, the district must provide the name, business/employer/organization, and the title/position and license(s)/credential(s) of each mandatory member of the advisory board and information for additional members. The district must then select the box for all contributions made by the member and identify the engagement method. The Office of Career Readiness may request more information and documentation of engagement to be uploaded as a supporting document.

For additional guidance on Advisory Committee requirements, districts should refer to the CTE Program Advisory Committee Handbook, the New Jersey Department of Education Perkins V State Plan, and N.J.A.C. 6A:19‑3.1(a)2.
