Purpose: The Improving Partnerships and Active Collaboration for Teaching (IMPACT) Project is designed to offer opportunities to eligible partnerships among institutions of higher education (IHEs), high need local education agencies (LEAs) and Educational Technology Training Centers (ETTCs) to conduct professional development and other activities that will result in expanding the number of teachers who are highly qualified, building capacity to meet state adopted core standards in targeted content areas, and increasing the degree of integration of 21st century skills, technology and global perspectives into instruction. Eligibility to apply for this IMPACT continuation grant is limited to the currently-funded agencies who were awarded in the 2010 competitive grant. Continuation funding will be contingent upon application review and successful completion of the prior year project. The continuation project year for IMPACT is September 1, 2011 - August 31, 2012.
