Purpose: The goal of the Blended Early Learning Innovation Pilot Year 2 of 2 Grant is to continue to provide school districts with the ability to design and pilot innovative early learning tablet based instructional models based on the goal of improving children�s mastery of literacy and mathematics skills in grades K-3. The three eligible LEA applicants were selected through a competitive process in Year 1 and are LEAs with schools serving grades K-3. A LEA may submit an application on behalf of 2-3 of their eligible schools. Funding for this program is from the federal Early Childhood Race to the Top award. LEAs may apply for up to $75,000 in Year 2. The population served by this grant program consists of students in kindergarten through grade 3. This grant award is the second year of a two-year program. Year 2 of 2 is a twelve month grant period and will start September 1, 2016, and end August 31, 2017.
