• Career Pathway Advisory Board Partnership Agreement

Purpose: The Building Capacity for Career Pathways: A Pilot Program for Comprehensive High Schools Year 2 of 5 is a state-funded pilot program intended to expand the number of Career Pathways for students in grades 9-12 in comprehensive school districts, regional high school districts, and charter schools. Successful applicants will draw upon the expertise of a talent network (established by the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development); business and industry partners and post secondary institutions. This program will focus on preparing students for careers in high labor market demand occupations which provide family sustaining wages. This grant program is a five year grant program. In Year 1, the grantees concentrated on an intensive capacity-building period of professional development utilizing a career pathway framework. In Years 2-5, grantees will implement, support and evaluate the career pathways realized through high quality CTE programs of study. The maximum award under this program is $100,000 in Year 2 and is funded from State Vocational Aid funds. Eligibility to apply for this Building Capacity for Career Pathways Grant is limited to the eight (8) applicants serving grades 9-12 that were selected through a competitive process in Year 1. The Year 3 project period is March 1, 2018-February 28, 2019
