Purpose: The Extended Learning Program Activities (ELPA) Year 1 of 3 is pilot program, using funds awarded under the federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers program, which was developed to support enrichment and engaging activities that are part of an expanded learning program that 1. provides students with at least 300 additional program hours before, during, or after the traditional school day; 2. supplements but does not supplant regular school day requirements; and 3. carries out by entities that meet federal priority requirements. Eligibility to apply for this ELPA grant is open to all NJ public or private agencies who submit a joint application that consists of at least one LEA (including charter schools, jointure commissions and special services school districts) that receive funds under Title I and another entity (another Title-I funded LEA; a non-public school; a community based organization; a city or county government agency; faith based organization; for-profit organization; institution of higher education; or Indian tribe). The first year of this three year program is September 1, 2017-August 31, 2018.

Eligible Agencies: New Jersey public or private agencies who submit a joint application with at least 1 local educational agency
