Purpose: This Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) grant focuses on the TSA CTSO. TSA is a student organization, with chapters throughout New Jersey, that is focused on students preparing for careers as engineers, scientists and technologists. Participating students, through their local chapter, learn and practice leadership development, academic and technical skills and community involvement. Through this NGO, the successful grantee will provide statewide coordination and leadership in the development, management and administration of CTSO co-curricular activities, competitive events, award programs, student leadership activities and professional development for teachers and advisors. CTSO activities are aligned to New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and industry standards. This CTSO program is a continuation grant, open to The College of New Jersey, the grantee awarded through a competitive process in Year 1. This NGO covers the third year of a four-year grant cycle. Based on the availability of state resources, this third year of the grant program will begin September 1, 2019 and end on August 31, 2020.
