Purpose: The STEM Dual Enrollment and Early College High School Pilot Program Implementation Phase grant program is a state and federally-funded program using a FY 19 State appropriation for STEM Dual Enrollment and supplemented by Federal Perkins Leadership funds. This NGO is intended to implement a P-Tech 9-14 model in three comprehensive high schools. Under this model, a high school is extended to years 9-14 with the desired outcome of students graduating with a high school diploma, a two-year post-secondary degree aligned to industry needs, and internship experience leading to hiring preference commitments from industry partners. This grant program provides a 10 month extension with funds to the initial planning grant for to fund the implementation phase of this program. Each grantee is eligible to apply for up to $200,000. Eligibility to apply for this STEM Dual Enrollment and Early College High School Pilot Program Implementation Phase grant is open to the three LEAs who were selected through a competitive process during the fall of 2018. Funds for this program must be encumbered by June 30, 2019. The project period is September 1, 2019-June 30, 2020.
