Frequently Asked Questions

  1. The New Jersey Inclusion Project is currently available on the grants management webpage underneath the grant opportunities tab.

  1. New Jersey based public or private agencies that meet the needs of students with disabilities. Organizations that are not New Jersey based are not eligible to apply. School districts are also not eligible to apply for this grant.

  1. The Office of Special Education has made one award available.

  1. The total award is $1,000,000 per year, for a total of $3,000,000 over 3 years.

  1. The application is due no later than 4pm on Thursday, June 8, 2023.

  1. The grant award recipient is expected to begin the first-year activities on July 1, 2023.

  1. An applicant is not required to budget indirect costs. All of the funds (for allowable/eligible costs line items EXCEPT indirect costs) can be budgeted into direct cost lines. Indirect costs are not prepopulated in EWEG. Only grantees that already have a federally or DOE approved indirect cost rate can request indirect costs.

  1. Yes, if it is necessary for the completion of the scope of work proposed.

  1. The grantee is expected to expend all grant funds each year. Unspent funds will be returned to the Office of Special Education and will not be rolled over.

  1. Documents can be uploaded in a particular section of EWEG, however applicants are strongly encouraged to copy from a word document into EWEG, after completing all reviews and updates.

  1. Letters of support are not a requirement for the application; however, these can be provided as supporting documents.
