The NJ Doula Assistant is an online tool that helps individual doulas complete their NJ FamilyCare Fee-for-Service (FFS) application quickly.

New Jersey is expanding the list of NJ FamilyCare-approved doula trainings through a standardized approval process developed by NJDHS, NJDOH, and NJMIHIA. The Approval Packet sets minimum requirements that training programs must meet for doula education, practice experience, and certification, helping more trained doulas qualify to enroll as NJ FamilyCare Community Doula Providers.

NJMIHIA hosts Doula Town Hall convenings to strengthen collaboration across New Jersey's perinatal workforce. Led and facilitated by doulas, these events build community, support open dialogue, and help share resources across the doula community.

To enroll as an NJ FamilyCare Community Doula Provider, you must complete training that meets NJ FamilyCare’s community doula requirements. Community doulas receive additional training in culturally competent care and NJ-specific community-based resources, equipping them to meet the needs of NJ FamilyCare members.
