Human Services Commissioner Johnson Statement on Passing of Human Service Police Officer Michael Luko

(TRENTON) –  Human Services Commissioner Carole Johnson released the following statement on the passing of Human Services Police Officer Michael Luko:

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic passing of New Jersey State Human Services Police Officer Michael Luko.

“The work of the New Jersey State Human Services Police is the epitome of community-based service, as officers work every day to protect some of our most vulnerable residents. Officer Luko brought veteran experience and knowledge to this important role, and became a mentor to younger officers. He will be missed.

“On behalf of the entire Department of Human Services, I send my deepest condolences to Officer Luko’s family at this difficult time. We join in their mourning.”
