Military/Family Support Save NJ Vets

Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce

Mission Statement

The IPPW consists of DoD civilian employees whose primary duties involve prevention of harmful behaviors in a non-clinical setting. Primary Prevention activities aim to prevent self-directed harm behaviors such as suicide and substance misuse, and other prohibited abusive or harmful acts like sexual assault, domestic violence, and harassment before they ever occur. The Integrated Primary Prevention strategy leverages public health and preventive models that include comprehensive, data-driven, and research-informed prevention efforts.
