Phase II Vapor Intrusion Investigation Workplan Posted 13 November 2009

NJDEP has directed DuPont to conduct vapor intrusion sampling activities at properites within the ground water plume area where systems have not yet been installed. DuPont will be reaching out to those residences where no system has been installed to request access to conduct the sampling activities. All work is to be conducted by DuPont in accordance with the NJDEP-approved "Vapor Intrusion Investigation - Phase II Program, Addendum to the Vapor Interim Remedial Measure Work Plan." [pdf 464 Kb] An informational session to answer questions residents may have about the sampling program is planned to be held in early January 2010 in Pompton Lakes. Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System Inspection Checklist [pdf 23 Kb] Posted 11 September 2009

As requested by the community, NJDEP has begun an inspection program of vapor mitigation systems that have been installed throughout the vapor mitigation area in Pompton Lakes. NJDEP anticipates inspecting, at a minimum, 10% of the systems installed. A checklist of items to evaluate as part of the inspection has been developed by NJDEP and is provided here. Results of the inspection report will be incorporated as part of the final Remedial Measures Report submitted by DuPont for NJDEP approval. Modifications to the system, if needed, will be made by DuPont as directed by NJDEP
