CHAPTER 508

Approved on January 21, 2020, The Civil Service Commission has established a toll-free telephone hotline through which an employee of any state agency may report confidentially a suspected incident of discrimination or harassment in the workplace.  The hotline shall receive such reports and respond to each report with general or individualized information regarding the laws, regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to incidents of discrimination or harassment in the workplace. Upon receipt of an employee who calls the hotline, the hotline shall supply the employee with the appropriate referrals for further assistance and counseling.

The Commission shall report annually the volume of calls, not to include any personal or identifying information caller or individual name or otherwise identified in the call. This report will be available to the public on the Division of EEO/AA’s internet website. Pursuant to section 2 of P.L. 1991, c. 164(C.52:14-19.1), to the legislature. Full Chapter 508 Act
